Our evening specials menu is updated every two weeks and features fresh catches of the day, our butcher’s best selection and seasonal vegetarian options

Starters

 Frogs Legs
Classic French favourite!  Coated in seasoned flour and cooked in garlic and parsley butter. £6.75

Smoked Mackerel Pate
Chefs' homemade smoked mackerel pate, served with toasted ciabatta fingers.(GF) £6.95

V - Stuffed Mushroom
Portobello mushroom filled with a combination of caramelised onions and creamy stilton cheese. (GF) £5.95

Grilled Sardines
Whole grilled sardines, served with a fresh zesty gremolata.  Accompanied by granary bread. (GF)  £6.25

  Cajun Calamari
Pieces of squid, dusted in cajun spices and deep-fried until succulent.  served with a paprika mayonnaise. (GF) £6.95

Razor Clams
Fresh Razor clams, steamed with white wine and finished with garlic butter. (GF) £6.95

Gilthead Bream
Whole gilthead bream, served on a bed of balsamic beef tomatoes and crispy shallots. (GF) £17.95 

Hake
Hake fillet, served with creamy mashed potato and a piquant clam and mussel tomato sauce. (GF) £17.95

Megrim Sole
Whole Megrim sole, cooked 'on the bone' and served with a creamy seafood sauce containing octopus, prawns, mussels and squid. (GF) £17.95

Seafood Paella
The Galley Bistro take on this fragrant saffron infused Spanish favourite.  Containing mussels, clams, razor clams, squid, prawns, chicken and chorizo.  Served with salad or garlic bread. £18.95

Ribeye and Stilton Pie
Rich and succulent Ribeye and stilton pie, served with braised red cabbage, mashed potato and a rosemary and thyme gravy. £16.95

Duck Breast
Pan-seared oven roasted duck breast, served pink with a blackberry sauce and poached figs.  Accompanied by a sweet potato fondant. (GF) £18.95

Zebra Fillet
Zebra fillet steak, served medium-rare with hassleback potatoes, wilted spinach and a red wine and red currant sauce. (GF)  £18.95 

Pork
A noisette of pork tenderloin wrapped in serrano ham, accompanied by crispy pig cheeks and whole langoustines.  Finished with a pea puree and chorizo oil. £18.95

 

 

Vegetarian Mains

V - Sweet Potato and Spinach Curry-
Chefs homemade sweet potato and spinach curry, served with white rice and poppadum. (GF) £14.95

V - Crispy Halloumi Salad -
Crispy halloumi cheese, served on an orange, watercress and fennel salad.  Served with chips or garlic bread. (GF) £14.95
